The Lotus Goddess and subsequent plates in The Flower Goddesses of China series have merited the official approval of China National Arts and Crafts and are issued under its official seal.
The owner bought and stored this plate back in the early 90s. It had never changed hands. The plate is in mint condition. It had never been exposed to sunlight.
